Description
Wizards Thatch has three self contained luxurious 5 star suites filled with sumptuous leather furniture, antique prints, and each room has its own indulgent character boasting a unique location tucked away less than a minute from the centre of Alderley Edge. This family run establishment boasts two of the largest and most comfortable four poster beds in the County, draped in red and gold tapestries The Camelot and Wizardry Suites both have magnificent 7 foot four poster beds and The Merlin Suite sleeps two in a super comfy double four poster bed again draped in gold and red tapestries. The Camelot Suite offers three packages, a business tariff, a romantic break package with a complimentary bottle of Champagne and chocolates on arrival and a package for four people using an adjacent double bedroom within the suite. The heavily timbered Merlin Suite is painted in reds, greens, golds, browns and blues - a Jacobean extravangaza! and offers a business tariff and a romantic break tariff which includes a complimentary bottle of Champagne and chocolates on arrival. All suites have fresh flowers. Once you have entered through the thatched porch you step back in time and enjoy the truly unique experience that is created within its centuries old walls. It is indeed Alderley's hidden treasure. These five star suites are ideal for visiting this Cheshire celebrity hotspot which is ten minutes from Manchester Airport. The Camelot Suite's master bedroom with its heavy oak beamed ceiling, and its small paned timber windows creates that Tudor atmosphere. Available for your pleasure there is an LCD TV, DVD and a CD player. Adjacent is an en-suite ( wc and washbasin ) and a bathroom, with luxurious bathrobes, towels, hairdryer and a fine selection of toiletries. Downstairs the large Period lounge, with its low beamed timber ceiling, is decorated in rich dark Arabian red with luxurious leather sofas, LCD TV, CD player, and dimmable lighting to suit the mood. Up three stairs from the Lounge is a small double bedroom with Digital radio and Ipod docking station.. All Suites have a full set of crockery, cutlery, a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and glassware as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The Merlin Suite has a shower in the bathroom with luxurious bathrobes, towels, hairdryer and a fine selection of toiletries.Outside there is a seating area by the pond complete with candelabra which guests can light to complete that romantic setting. Please note that due to the age and nature of the property there are uneven floors, narrow stairs and some very low beams especially in the bathroom, not to mention low door heights! Also due to the huge amount of old timbers in these suites no lighted candles are permitted. All suites are non smoking but you are welcome to smoke outdoors. Today the village boasts some of the finest restaurants, and bars in the country and is famous for its celebrity clientele, which includes many premiership footballers (David Beckham being a former resident), actors and top business professionals who enjoy the lifestyle which this small village has to offer. Minutes away from major motorway networks the M6 and M56 Wizards Thatch offers something for everyone - an ideal business base, romance for your wedding night or honeymoon, or a luxurious escape from the rigours of modern living. So step back in time and enjoy the truly unique experience that is Wizards Thatch - just relax and let its centuries old aura cast its spell on you. Enjoy some of the finest views across Cheshire towards the Peak District by visiting The Edge, run by the National Trust. Only a few minutes walk from Wizards Thatch, The Edge has spectacular scenery, where you can walk through oak and beech woodland, see prehistoric and roman copper mines and treat yourself to a traditional afternoon tea at the Wizards Café. Alderley Edge is surrounded by other National Trust properties such as Lyme Park, where they filmed Pride and Prejudice, Dunham Massey, Tatton Park, where the interior was used for Brideshead Revisited and Little Morton Hall, probably Britains finest timber framed moated manor house.PETS ARE ALLOWED- BY REQUEST ONLY-
