Hotel Paisiello Parioli, Rome
Via G. Paisiello, 47, Rome, 00198, Italy
Description
The hotel is located in central Rome . The area is the well-known Parioli neighborhood, traditionally considered the capital's most prestigious. Via Paisiello is, when coming from the historic center, the entrance street to the Parioli neighborhood. The Hotel Paisiello Parioli is an affordable hotel in an expensive central neighborhood. The hotel is surrounded by embassies, offices, residential buildings and villas. The hotel's block is adjacent to Villa Borghese, Rome 's central park and a major attraction with its history, prestigious museums, renowned sport events (Piazza di Siena) and the Bioparco (zoo). A fifteen minute walk through the park takes to Rome 's Via Veneto street famous for shopping and the Dolce Vita. The street is already within the historic center and nearby are Piazza di Spagna and many other of the city's most famous attractions.Villa Borghese and the historic center at walking distance make the hotel an ideal starting point for tourists. The many companies and embassies in the surrounding area make the hotel a good choice for businessmen and diplomatic personnel. The hotel is conveniently located to reach centers of great draw such as the Parco della Musica, Università La Sapienza (the largest in the world), and the olympic stadium. The Vatican, though not particularly close, is easily reachable with just one tram which goes from the hotel to Piazza Risorgimento (just outside the Vatican walls). Nearby the hotel are also renowned medical facilities and a shopping area.Rome 's main airport (Fiumicino) is 33 km away. The main train station (Termini) is 3 km away. Two bus lines (910 and 217, only one of the two must be taken) connect the hotel with Termini. The Leonardo Express train connects Termini with Fiumicino. Rome 's second airport (Ciampino) is at less than 30 km . For people traveling by car, the hotel is easily reachable from the GRA (large freeway that circles the city) by exiting on the Via Salaria in the direction of the center and staying on it all the way.The medium-size hotel has 49 guestrooms (all with bathroom), a large apartment on the top floor, a living room, a breakfast room and a small garden. The hotel was built in the 1930s with the collaboration of a not-yet-famous Pier Luigi Nervi as a residential building easily convertible into a hotel. The conversion occurred in 1950. The last full renovation was done in the mid 1980s.
