Parkhotel Tosch

Spend a night or a week at the Parkhotel Tosch during your travel in western Bohemia. This 3 star District of Klatovy hotel is located in the town of Kašperské Hory, approx. a 30 minute drive from Šumava National Park. The Parkhotel Tosch was originally a brewery constructed at the start of the 14th century. The brewery stayed in business until July of 1947. After falling into disrepair, it was fully renovated for use as the Czech Republic’s first wellness hotel. Today guests enjoy the hotel’s charming restaurant and wine bar, small conference rooms, and breakfast cafe. For your relaxation, there’s a heated pool in the indoor spa decorated with painted murals, tennis courts, and a small fitness centre. You can use the sauna or the solarium, hire mountain bikes, play billiards, or receive a massage for an extra charge. The hotel is centrally located in the town of Kašperské Hory, on the edge of the Bohemian Forest. Within the town, you can visit the Kašperské Museum of the Šumavy Mountains (Muzeum Šumavy Kašperské Hory). At the west end of town is an information centre for Šumava National Park (Informační středisko Národního parku Šumava - Kašperské Hory). There are Nordic ski trails and a ski slope with a chair lift within walking distance, and a more established ski area with ski rental services approx. 10 km/6.2 miles away. Among the popular sights in the area are Kašperk Castle, Velhartice Castle, and the city of Pilsen (Plzeň in Czech), birthplace of Pilsener (or pilsner) beer. Kašperské Hory is approx. 150 km/93.2 miles from Prague.
