La Casa di Melo is an ancient Sicilian farmhouse, built at the beginning of the 19th century. It's surrounded by a luxuriant organic citrus plantation, the green lung of our 150 hectares farm.La Casa di Melo is nearby Fontane Bianche (Siracusa), 3 km away from the sea that can be reached by bike, car or simply walking through wonderful paths going across the housefarm fields.If you want to get in touch with our culture, La Casa di Melo is the right place: in 15 minutes can reach Siracusa, in less than 30 minutes you can reach Noto, the Baroque capital, or several Wildlife Reserves, as Vendicari or Cavagrande di Cassibile. It will take an hour to reach Pantalica and his Necropolis, or Modica, Scicli, and Ragusa Ibla, three wonderful baroque cities. At La Casa di Melo there's also a wonderful swimming pool. It has been built using the ancient Sicilian concept called "gebbia". It is a tank used in the fields to collect rainwater and entirely panelled with stone .While swimming in it you can enjoy a romantic view of the Eblei mountains wand listen to the sound of the waterfall.
