This farmhouse is situated 3 kilometres from Pomarance in the beautiful hills of central Tuscany. This complex is set in an ideal position - not far from the sea (Cecina 40kms), and close to the historic towns of Volterra (20kms) with its ancient Etruscan origins and San Gimignano (50kms), a delightful medieval town famous for its towers. The guest accommodation is surrounded by 6 hectares of olive groves and includes 9 apartments in two buildings facing each other. One building houses 7 apartments (3 on the ground floor, 3 on the first floor and one on two floors) and the second building houses two apartments (RIBES and UVA) on the ground floor. The apartments are furnished in Tuscan style (solid wooden furniture, cast iron beds) and have all been beautifully renovated with wooden beams. They are named after the typical fruits of the area: Strawberry tree, Fig, Grape etc.. The swimming pool is splendidly positioned (7 x 14 m. - open 15th May15th Oct.) with a Roman stairway which affords a spectacular view of the surrounding hills. Silvia, the owner, lives with her husband in the house in front of the two guest houses and enjoys welcoming guests, giving advice with helpful hints on restaurants, excursions and visits including where to purchase excellent local products.
