“Absolute WORST airline. First, flight was delayed with NO announcement or notification. Then they board those with children first, but it is onto a bus, and they get pushed to the back and do not get boarded first on the actual plane. Flight crew was rude right from the start. Someone from the back of the plane put their luggage up front I. The overhead bin. I was seated in row 3, so I should be the one to put my luggage overhead. Tried to move it and the flight attendant gave me attitude. In the end I won that fight. When they came through with the beverage cart, the girl looked right at me when I pulled my wallet and card out to purchase. When she stopped the cart, she asked the person across from me, but then instead of acknowledging me after, she and the other flight attendant(who had been rude upon embarking) completely ignored me and moved past! They didn't even give other passengers time to flag them down for something. When they finished, they walked right past again with the cart and put it away. When called to my seat, was told we have to signal them and ask for a snack. Hard too when they ignore you. Was very rude AGAIN!! Then, 45 min before landing, another attendant came up to me and told me to put my iPad away and make sure it was turned off for landing! We had another 45 min on the flight!!!! I know when to turn it off. Rude crew, and unacceptable attitudes. No professionalism with this airline! DO NOT FLY VOLOTEA!!”

“As first flight I must say I had no problem. Not even in the airport. They have been punctual. And even more, on the return trip we were in advance. It's normal that sometime something can go wrong, not only with Volotea, but even with all the others airlines. Nobody is perfect. When there are problems, usually it's because people does not follow the rules. Cheers Carlo”

“A terrible customer service. Bags left in the hold, they promised that they would have delivered at home in the afternoon, then for four days we did not heard anything, then finally they told us to pick up our luggage at the airport. We demanded the refund: after two months of waiting, still nothing. OUTRAGEOUS. THIEVES.”

“Departure flight took off with a 20 minutes delay..but that's not the worst part. MY partner didn't receive the luggage in Santorini and we had to wait 5 days before receiving it. Bad customer service, we had to call every day (calls are very expensive) just to hear each time the same thing "we will let you know when there are news". Fortunately we have soem friends which actually works in Capodichino, which told us the luggage never moved from Naples, and that we would have received it in about two days. Accidents may happen, but there is no excuse for their negligence.”

“On the outward journey they were 2 hours and 15 minutes late, they did not communicate anything, although we did the booking confirmation in that day! Now we are in the airport, waiting for the retur flight, and they are one hour late... right now! We can't even ask for explainations, no ground staff, only the monitor! Avoid this company!”

“Flight from Venice to Palermo in May, the first for my Samsonite luggage (which costed me 149 €), the result: irreparable breakage. After the denunciation in the airport, and after sending the documents they asked us, the refund was only of 60 €, they told me I should have had declare before the value of the luggage (as if it was a Luis Vitton). The company is low cost not only for the price but even for the service! Think about it, people.”

“Avoid this airline. On the outward voyage we had a 40 minutes delay, and on the return trip 4 hours and 50 minutes of delay (they did not refunded us because we had to wait outside the airplane 10 more minutes, and they embarked us just before reaching the 5 hours, then we waited on the aircraft for many minutes, so it did not count as delay and they did non give us the refund)”

“Without any doubt this airline has some strong points, it is quite cheap, and convenient for the Naples Capodichino airport. I hope to fly again with Volotea. The only deficiencies are the delay on the outward trip from Santorini on August the 14th, in a crowded airport and not equipped with air conditioning (due to a black out the day before); second thing, the staff has not been professional, as on 08/04 in Naples I wanted to pay with my Postepay and the lady unkindly told me that I could have had paid if the credit card would have been recharged with money! I told her I had 4 more credit cards whenever needed. Fortunately my travel mates were in solidarity with me. Thank you. Goodbye”

“I flew with Volotea from Venice to Rhodes on 08/04 - 08/19/2013. Perfect timing, a bit late on the check-in opening on the outward trip, and we had to run, so we couldn't eat anything. They have been meticulous over the luggage size and weight. Small brand-new aircraft. Kind board crew. The do not offer free food, you actually have to pay for everything. Microphones were not working, so when they comunicated something we couldn't have been able to hear anything. For those who are afraid to fly like me, that's not reassuring. On the whole it is a cheap nice airline but they still need to work on it.”

“Booked our flights with jetXtra from Humberside to Alicante, they charter flights from Volotea. Aircraft was a Boeing 717 in 3x2 seating config, nice grey leather seats and legroom was better than most low-cost airlines. Outbound flight was pretty much ontime, crew were all French, not overly friendly although seemed efficient enough.Onboard service left a lot to be desired unfortunately, the menu is poor and they only take payment with credit cards, won't accept cash which is a very strange policy and meant not many people bought anything. On the return flight they had pretty much ran out of food and drink, leaving some not very happy passengers.They have the potential to be a good little airline, they just need to sort their onboard service out as it really lets them down.”

“After waiting up for 5 hours without having any news, the flight has been cancelled due to the incompetence of the pilot. They gave us two options: a flight two days later, or a flight to Nantes and then a bus from Nantes to Bordeaux (500 km far away), but in any case Volotea did not offer any refund. I had to threaten them to get the refund. In short: avoid this airline.”

“Let's see:50 minutes lateThreatened to pay 50 euro for making the hand luggage a checked baggage, because I couldn't bring a bag with me.How are old people and mothers/fathers with their children able to use their pills and feed their little ones again?Hostesses and Steward were clearly fresh, nervous and very presumptuos unfortunately.The air smelled of vomit, there were a lot of stains everywhere and gums behind multiple seats: so much for cleanliness.The convenience isn't there: they don't allow the Paypal option to highlight so you have to pay 30 euro for online booking, then they try to spill more money from you with whatever means: check-in in airport if you don't do it online (and luckily I did even though they state they already have the code and you only need to say it before flying), they look for the smallest bump in your luggage to see if it doesn't fit in their poor miniscule luggage-measurer to make you pay, even though the Boeing 717 is capable of holding a lot more than those miniscule baggages, and so on.They won't have my money from now on, nor those of my family, of my friends, of whoever I will suggest to not fly with them.”

“You absolutely want to avoid the Volotea company because it frequently uses to overbook the planes. I paid for a ticket, I booked and they confirmed the booking for the Bastia/Nantes flight of the 31th August and I did not manage to take off because there were too many passengers compared to the numbers of seats. The ground crew in the airport told me that was a Volotea's choice. So I had to take the next day flight and I discovered that even in this one 4 passengers (an entire family with two young children) had the same fate of mine. Such a treatment is so disrespectful to the customers, and I can only invite the website users to boycott this company.”

“I put one point but they don't deserve even that! They changed our return date two times (one day earlier). The first time we were able to change the weekend. Then they changed dates again (one day earlier). Result: paid services for nothing. Monetary compensation: they gave us 25 euros to be spent in 3 months. Bad customer service, they don't even answer to my e-mails. Balance sheet: avoid this airline.”

“I am shocked! Flight booked in february for 6 people, from Palermo to Venice and then again from Venice to Krakow (plus return): yesterday the airline contacted us to communicate the cancellation of the route Venice/ Krakow...now we don't know what to do! We already booked 5 hotels in Poland and we rented a car outside the airport! What a shame! They ruined our vacations and we spent a lot of money. And they want to refund us just the flight ticket! I'll never fly again with this airline (or the similar ones!)”
