“Will never use them again!The Sunwing Airlines flight from Montreal to Santiago (Cuba) on January 5th, 2012, was delayed by more than 7 hours. The delay was due to mechanical problem, as we were told, and the aircraft must have been changed. We arrived at the hotel after 4 am the next day. So we practically lost 1 vacation day out of 7, and it took a lot of time to recover from a sleepless night. Not a good way to enjoy your vacation. The return flight was OK, except that there was no head set offered to listen to the movie played on small screens in the cabin.When requested compensation from Sunwing Airlines, did not receive a reply. There is no phone number to call customer service, only a website with email sender.”

“I must say coming from aviation, Sunwing has it going. Airport staff in Montreal were fantastic, their supervisors sporting the flight attendant uniform was very welcoming and nice. Great team in Montreal, although in the air, one of the flight attendants was laughing during the security demo. New aircrafts, clean, comfortable for what you pay for. More room than Air Transat for sure!!! Pilot was superb, and it just so happened we had the same pilot on the way back. He came out when we were coming off to say thank you which was great and we hope to see him again!!”

“My flight to Varadero was over an hour late. Considering it was supposed to leave at midnight, it was extremely unpleasant to be moved to a terminal all the way across the airport that did not have enough seats to wait another hour for our plane, when everyone was extremely overtired. The flight itself was alright; the food was quite good and the flight attendants were fairly pleasant. However, it was impossible to get any sleep because there were constant announcements over the speakers. On the return flight, we were supposed to be arriving in Calgary at 12:45 pm. After planning our day around heading to bed early to get up at 4 am to catch our airport shuttle, we received a paper under our door at 8 pm saying that our plane had been delayed another 2 hours. In the morning, our shuttle was another hour late, and once arriving at the airport we discovered that our plane had been delayed, again, to 12 pm. We ended up landing in Calgary 4 1/2 hours late, and had no way of contacting the people who were picking us up. I will not be flying with Sunwing again.”
