Monarch Airlines, founded June 5 1967 and operational since April, 1968, is a British airline based in Luton, England. Monarch is one of the largest airlines in the country and operates scheduled and charter passenger flights to many destinations in Europe, the U.S., the Caribbean, India and Africa. Luton Airport is the main base of Monarch, while the secondary hubs are located in the airports of Birmingham, East Midlands, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester. Its frequent flyer program is Vantage Club. Monarch entered administration on 2 October 2017, ceasing operations with immediate effect.

“A dreadful experience. 5 hours late (and it seems it's normal for them), the passengers of two airplanes, in one! So there was not enough space in the head lockers. Do not fly by this company.”
