Korean Air Lines, established in 1962 and privatized in 1969, is the national airline as well as the largest airline in South Korea. Its headquarters is located in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, in the capital Seoul. Korean Air operates scheduled passenger and cargo domestic and international flights in a wide network of destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and North America and is one of the top 20 airline companies in the world for number of passengers carried. Its main hubs are Incheon and Gimpo airports, both located in Seoul. Korean Air is member of the SkyTeam alliance, its frequent flyer program is Skypass, while the airport lounge is KAL Lounge.
