Japan Airlines, known under the trade nome of "JAL", was founded on August 1, 1951 under the name Japan Air Lines and has been operational since October 25 of the same year. Its the national airline of Japan, as well as the largest airline in the country. Its headquarters is located in Shinagawa, in the capital Tokyo. Japan Airlines and four of its subsidiaries (J-Air, JAL Express, JALways and Japan Transocean Air) are members of the Oneworld alliance. JAL and its subsidiaries offers the largest network of connections within Japan, as well as regional and international destinations in a wide range of air services, from passenger to cargo, scheduled and low cost flights. Its main hubs are the airports of Tokyo Haneda, Osaka Kansai, Tokyo Narita and Osaka International. Its frequent flyer programs are JAL Mileage Bank and JAL Global Club, while the airport lounges are Diamond Premier Lounge, JAL First Class Lounge and Sakura Lounge.
