Iberia Líneas Aéreas de España, simply known as Iberia is the national airline of Spain. It was founded on June 28, 1927 and is the main Spanish airline for passenger traffic and number of flights. Iberia operates air services on an extensive network of domestic and international destinations, medium and long range, and is the market leader in the segment of flights between Europe and South America. The company's main operating bases are the airports of Madrid Barajas (MAD) and Barcelona El Prat (BCN). Since 2010, Iberia and British Airways had signed an agreement to merge the companies. “Not really the cheapest price on continental flight you can get but everything ran smoothly. Service could speak English and the food was basic but fine. Probably makes sense to go for a budget airline over Iberia (e.g. Vueling) but no complaints from me.”

“I would like to forget this trip! I left on 08/05/12, the planes were very old, the board crew and the ground crew were talking just in SPANISH, outward voyage took off with several hours of delay, just to reach New York to discover that they lost our luggage! In practice I've spent 2 days in the airport to wait for my case, but each time they assured me that my case would have been arrived with the next flight, but at the end, on 08/08/12, since that I was about to leave and that I was going to change adress frequently, I left empty-handed. The case is arrived in Italy on 08/16 it's a shame I was still in Mexico. Now for the repayment its like to be in a circus! Nonexistent fax and phone numbers, somebody tells you one thing and another tells you a different thing. I want the money that I spent to buy again the necessary for three weeks back! IBERIA NEVER MORE!”

“Iberia? Nevermore!!! We left (one hour late) from Santo Domingo with an arriving hurricane and bad weather conditions (the other flights were cancelled). The flight? Has been a nightmare!! The outward voyage too, has been disappointing! They informed us that the flight instruments were not working, the hostesses were rude, and the planes are old. Without punctuality. And many passengers denounced the loss of their luggage. Iberia? Nevermore!!! It is worse than a low cost flight! And because of what happened during the flight, I thankful I'm still alive to talk about it! I really advise you not to fly by this company.”

“Once in Corune we discovered that they lost our luggage. Iberia reassured us about this by telling us that they would have sended us a text message to retrieve the luggage, because they couldn't do an international call (so there was not any courier). They made us go to the airport 4 times just to discover that each time the luggage weren't there. The ground crew informed us about how to get our refund by giving us an e-mail that haven't been working for years!!!! COMPLIMENTS”
