easyJet Airline Company Limited is a British low cost airline founded in October 1995. Its base is easyLand, London Luton Airport. It began operating in November 1995 with its first two airplanes in leasing, serving the London-Luton to Glasgow and Edinburgh route. easyJet grew quickly: in March 1998 it bought 40% of TEA Switzerland airline, rebaptising it subsequently easyJet Switzerland, while in 2002 it bought airline Go Fly. easyJet is currently the third largest low cost airline in the world for number of passengers carried, preceded only by American Southwest Airlines and the Irish Ryanair. Until September 2003 easyJet operated with Boeing 737s, but at the end of 2002, the company tended towards using Airbus airplanes, ordering 120 A319s, which first models were delivered in the autumn of 2003. The airline operates flights to a large number of destinations in Europe, Asia and North Africa, it has carried 55,47 million passengers in 2011.

“One hour of delay, my hand luggage was of the correct size but it has been loaded in the hold luggage due to the lack of space, in the Orly airport there was a terrible check in service and a rude, arrogant and intolerant staff. They were probably kidding with me, the luggage was ok on the route "Fiumicino" - "Orly" but the same luggage was not adequate for the return trip. I wonder if the easyJet company in Fiumicino is the same that there is in Orly. Personally, I will never fly again by EasyJet and I really advise my friends not to travel by this airline.”

“The staff is incompetent and surly, it is true that I've hit the roof, but with hindsight, for an half centimetre I had to pay 30 € for an EMPTY luggage, which is the same that I use when I fly with Ryanair, and the measures are exactly the same. Scandalous, the flight was not announced and I nearly lost the flight. It has been the first and last time that I've travelled with EasyJet. I strongly advise against flying with this airline.”

“I flew two times with EasyJet and in April I am going to fly with them for the third time, I've never had flight delay or cancellation problems (and I hope I won't ever have them), even if they actually set back of three hours my next flight (the return voyage), but this actually did non give us any problem. Their planes lands always earlier than expected, they say that it takes 2 hours and a half to reach Amsterdam or Berlin from Rome Fiumicino but they actually arrive always earlier! The only bad thing was the departure flight to Berlin from Rome F., my luggage was stuck in the overhead locker so they asked me to put it in the hold luggage but I convinced them that it was ok, I hope I won't have any trouble in April!”

“I had a very bad experience, they cancelled our flight and we had to buy another ticket from another airline; so here is what they reimbursed us: from the ticket (which costed 200,00 € per 2 people) + the luggage they deducted the luggage - 60,00 euros - and the ensurance, and that was fine, but they also deducted the price of the ticket of the return flight with easyJet (which was 39,00 euros for two people). So the easyJet flight costed us something like 80,00 euros”

“I must say everything was fine, they are punctual and courteous. The only problem is that people always try to bring on the airplane oversized hand luggages, so they actually fill up uselessly the overhead lockers. The pilot was good, and the board crew was kind. “The trip was ok, but I want to point out that if they'd dedicated more to the measure of the luggages they would have gained a lot of money legally. I comformed to their rules but there were people with huge backpacks that filled the overhead locker, so I could not put in it my hand luggage, that's unfair! “Don't bother book a flight with Easyjet just to save some money, because really, you pay double.... You have to pay everything even for the seats!!! They don't even offer you a glass of water, their seats are unacceptable(are comfortable for a smurf though) and their service is extremely POOR. I checked in an extra luggage and when I arrived to the airport, I had to pay extra for the weight inside the luggage. Really it's stupid. When you check in for an extra luggage in easyjet you have to pay extra for the weight inside it,so you pay 30£ the luggage and then 11£ for every kilo you put in your suitcase. The only thing that they don't charge is the air that you breathe.......Maybe in the future!”

“I always fly with Vs. which I think is pretty cheap and punctual. The ground crew does not understand many languages. I have motor difficulties and the ground crew has been incomprehensive. They announced the flight only in one language. The board crew, to the contrary, was kind and helpful. See you on the next flight (which will be imminent). WITH YOU.”

“Nothing to say, I've travelled with easyJet many times in 2 years, and nothing went wrong, except on this route, on which they made me pay to embark the hand luggage, but it was my fault, because I brought a luggage too big. They are always punctual, even if they have a delay of 10-15 minutes, they recuperate during the trip, on my last trip (Venice - Naples) we had a delay of 25 minutes but we landed in time. Really nothing bad to say, and I think that whoever have a bad opinion of this airline should consider that it is a low cost one, which, on my opinion, is the best among those, because there are others which give to the customers a very bad service (I am not going to mention them...).”

“Nothing bad to say about the service and the punctuality...but we live in the UK and we do many business trips, the prices are a little too high...they raise up the price, and they don't have even a competitor...the ticket to fly on Christmas is 400 £ since months...how can a Sardinian get back to home? I sent a letter to the customer service, they apologize but they don't do anything about it, and consider that they actually gain a lot of money with this route! “First and last flight with this company! It was supposed to be a lowcost company but I actually paid a standard flight price, with an awful treatment. The return journey was one hour late without giving assistance or informations to the passengers. The seats were assigned but everyone was able to sit anywhere, and the seats were uncosy and narrow. I would add to the easyjet's logo: only for SMURFS! Onboard you have to pay for everything, I just hope you don't have to pay to go to the toilet! Fortunately I did not use that service, because the bathroom (if it can be called that) had a very bad smell! Not to mention the small hand luggage (handbags)...you have to keep it on your legs because on the headlocker there is not enough space...so be careful because a trolley may fall upon your head...I have many other things to say but I already lost too many time to talk about this unprofessional flight company but I WANTED and HAD TO inform you.”

“I paid astronomical figures to embark the luggages, when at the embark I realized that the 70% of the passengers had as hand luggage trolleys and huge luggages, out from the standard measures established for the hand luggage. So much so that the 50% of the passengers could not put the hand luggages (normal size) in the overhead locker, so they had to put them on the aisle.The passengers did not respected the hand luggage rules, but maybe because the company does not check and let them do that, to the detriment of who is honest and paid for the luggage.Totally incompetent.”

The price for the hold luggage is 14 € for 20 Kilograms. There are no limits for the hand luggage's weight, but there are size limitations according to the ENAC.”

“I did a nice trip, but Easyjet have many imperfections. Watch out for the hand luggage (it must be very small, otherwise they will keep it in the hold); watch out for the check in working hours (although they do international flights, remember to be in the airport atleast one hour and a half before the opening of the check in. Easyjet does not use to call you personally, look out!). Good solution for international routes; inadvisable for long routes and for old travelers, or with walking problems (the spaces are small and not so cosy).”

“They are extremely punctual. The luggage was ok. They didn't even measured my hand luggage, because it was the Roncato one, made on purpose. But for those who were behind me, they complained (justly) because this people had hand luggages too big. The plane was clean, the board crew was kind. The only defect are the uncomfortable seats. But I'm tall 1,75 m and I fit perfectly on them. The pilot was very well trained. When we arrived there were turbulences but the landing was done perfectly.”

“I had to use crutches - during the check in I had many problems because they could not find my reservation, then once aboard, they placed me in the middle of a row of three tight seats, because handicapped people have to sit on the seats with the orange headrest, that is to say on the more uncomfotable places (as punishment for the annoyance they give)!”

“TERRIBLE!! I am a professional businessman, and I fly all over the world for a living, on a variety of airlines. My flights last month with EasyJet were the worst experience I've ever had. Terrible customer service, very expensive bag fees, no water or snacks on the flight, AND to top it all off, the flight attendants were trying to sell things the entire time, rather than provide any customer service to the passengers. I will NEVER fly EasyJet again under any circumstance, nor should you. My experience was not the first. I spoke to many passengers who have also had terrible previous experiences. It is not worth the $10 less than any other airline.”

“Much convenient if compared to the prices of Alitalia and Darwin-Baboo, especially if booked in advance. I had no problems with the luggages, the rules are understandable and they are implemented. The food prices aboard are reasonable and they are comparable to airport's ones, which is better than paying twice over the price to have the very sad Alitalia's snack. The punctuality is good, and the ground service is good too, the check in is not required if you have only the hand luggage and if you have bought the ticket via web, if you activate the easyJet plus card you can get aboard before the other passengers and take place wherever you want.”

“In May 2005 i was booked to go from Stansted to Nice i was going to the Cannes Film Festival the outward journey was fine with no problems however the return journey was a completely different matter the flight was on time and the boarding was normal i sat in an aisle seat walking down on the left i do prefer a window seat but i could not see any all was normal and the plane took off so i am sitting there beginning to dose off (the flight departure time was 21.30) all of a sudden i am hit in the shoulder (aisle side) i was startled i looked around and it was a steward i thought that i must had been over hanging my seat but even at that i could had been advised i just left it at that and made sure that i was within the seat area. After a while another steward comes along and does the same thing and not a word i immediately said you have hit me twice and not a word of reply just walked to the back of the plane. Time goes by yet again the same thing happens i say yet again you have hit me and no reply so i get up from my seat follow him to the back of the plane and said you have hit me and i am not going to tell you again his reply was your shouting at me that was rubbish my wording was at general conversation level then a stewardess arrives and asks what’s going on with that the half trained jumped up idiot that thinks he’s achieved big time pushing a cart around on a flying circus (the one that hit me) replies he has shouted at me i replied no and said that he has hit me in my seat three times and i have come here to tell him not to do it again and added that i would not tell him again with that some toe rag really that appeared to be a passenger said yes he was shouting and we all herd him this was absolute rubbish. So i return to my seat after a while another stewardess come over to me very politely may i add and asks are you the one that complained my answer was yes and then she said could i have a word with you over there please by now i am thinking someone...”

“The flight arrived earlier than expected on both the outward voyage and the return trip. I've never flew by them, the seats were more comfortable than other airlines. The prices are very cheap, and both the board and ground crew is lovable. I think I am going to fly more frequently by this airline, hoping that it will improve the number of flights from Barcelona.”

“May 14,2011 from Thessaloniki to Berlin.More than 5 hours of delay due to strikes of the easyjet's employees or partners in Germany.We had to lose the train (prepaid tickets) from Berlin to Dresden and we asked the easyjet representative who told us that we should send by e-mail the train ticket in order to get the money from easyjet.After getting back from Berlin (thank god not with easyjet) we send the ticket by e-mail but the easyjet customer service representative told us that his colleague at the Thessaloniki airport was wrong and that no reimbursement could apply.Really unreliable!Never prepay train, car or hotel when traveling with easyjet!It is so possible that you will just lose your money!It was the first time traveling with easyjet and I would not recommend it!”

“This is the worst airline company I have ever taken. The service is horrible. The seats do not recline at all. The luggage is not included and you have to pay extra. On top of that small lady purse must be put in the luggage, you can stuff it or squish it what ever way you like it. Everything is paid on that airline nothing about service, just money very disappointing experience. Will never fly that company again, better to sleep in the airport that fly them.”

“First flight in september 2010. Outward journey was on schedule and the board crew was kind and helpful. On the return trip from Malaga we departed with a delay of one hour, but it was not a problem, and in addition, I've an handicap (I actually have to walk with the assistance of a walking stick) so the ground crew on Malaga let me to embark before the others, although I did not pay for that, so I am very thankful for their courtesy. The space inside the airplane was a little narrow but the flight lasted for 2 hours so this was not a problem. Even this year I have decided to return to Malaga in September and I already booked by Easyjet, hoping that everything is going to be fine, like the previous trip.”

“I'm starting to hesitate to fly by easyJet, for two reasons: the snarl-up during the check in. Why do we have to do the ticket online if we still have to do the queue? Yes, of course, we have to pay MORE to be treated as VIP? I hate when there are castes. It's also impossible to have any information about the delays. Like the evening flight Geneva-Marrakesh, which was already two hours late, and they gave me no explanation.”

“The Rochelle Bristol flight has been cancelled due to the french air-traffic controllers protest. I received a message from easyjet five hours before the flight, meanwhile they offered us an overnight (breakfast included) in a magnificent Novotel, we paid 15 euros per night for the dinner and for the taxi service to and from the airport. easyjet is the best.”
