Air Greenland Inc., founded in 1960 under the name Greenlandair, is the national airline of Greenland, jointly owned by the governments of Denmark and Greenland and SAS Group. The company headquarters is located in Nuuk. Air Greenland operates scheduled and charter passenger flights over a wide network of regional destinations, practically all communities in Greenland, also flying to Copenhagen. Its main base is the airport of Kangerlussuaq (SFJ), other secondary bases are the airports in Copenhagen, Nuuk, Ilulissat, Narsarsuaq, Nerlerit Inaat, Qaqortoq, Tasiilaq, Thule Air Base, Upernavik and Uummannaq.
